Appulate

Appulate powers the digital transformation of insurance by bringing together the insured, agent, wholesale broker, MGA and carrier on a single “point of sale” platform. The primary function of the Appulate service for InsureZone is to enable the upload of an ACORD application directly to InsureZone from any agency management system. If an agency can view their client data in an ACORD form in their agency management system, they can directly “print” that data to InsureZone. The Appulate service converts the ACORD app to ACORD XML data and then maps that data into an Appulate submission tool. It’s at this point in the process that the InsureZone partnership adds real value.

How InsureZone uses this service:

Agents submitting applications to any of the InsureZone brands can use the Appulate service to bridge commercial client data from any agency management system directly to the InsureZone Platform. This process is possible via three methods; (1) drag and drop the ACORD file, (2) browse to the ACORD file, or (3) print the ACORD app directly to InsureZone via Printer Driver. Once the ACORD application is received and routed through Appulate, the InsureZone platform maps the ACORD XML data directly into its commercial application. The user interface then opens a new browser window and allows the agent to review and answer any additional questions required by the carriers that have an appetite for the risk. Using this methodology, with one application, an agency can submit applications to all carriers at the same time. Results from carriers quoted are returned to the agency’s dashboard.

Black Ice

Black Ice Software, LLC, based in Boca Raton FL, is a privately held software development company established in 1989. Black Ice Software develops high quality printer driver technology, document imaging tools, faxing tools and corresponding application software.

How InsureZone uses this service:

Using the Black Ice printer driver, InsureZone enables agents to directly print ACORD PDFs from any agency management system directly into the front end of the InsureZone comparative rating platform. When installed, the driver looks just like any other available printer. By ‘printing’ the ACORD forms to InsureZone, the application data is extracted from the ACORD form, analyzed, corrected, and mapped to the appropriate commercial application or applications. The printer driver then opens a new browser window, logs the user into the InsureZone platform, and displays the complete commercial application for review and submission by the user agency.

ClarionDoor

ClarionDoor provides cloud-based frontline distribution solutions for rating, quoting, issuance, policy forms and real-time performance tracking. The ClarionDoor API and its “First & Always” architecture enables customers to automate product innovation and change, sales, and distribution for any surplus lines product or line of business. ClarionDoor’s rapid implementation approach gets customers live in weeks, mitigating the need for extensive integration projects and eliminating ongoing hidden costs. ClarionDoor has integrations with the top 26 carriers in the U.S.

How this partnership works:

The InsureZone Partnership with ClarionDoor completes what has been a goal for InsureZone for a number of years; to have the first true “Electronic Front Door” for any agency for all lines of business. The goal was to allow an agency to have the online ability to accept any type of insurance application and to rate that application in real-time if possible. Since 2004, the InsureZone platform has been able to handle personal and commercial submissions for standard lines applications, but lacked a robust solution for Excess & Surplus submissions and rating that was fully integrated. With this partnership an agency now has access to Surplus Lines Rating to complement the existing quoting capabilities for standard personal and commercial lines submissions.

CoreLogic

CoreLogic is a leader in Property Data for the insurance industry. The company has created one of the preeminent data sources for the housing and insurance industries. Their solutions include tools and data for underwriting, property valuations, market and prospect intelligence for risk management and monitoring.

How InsureZone uses this service:

InsureZone uses CoreLogic to pull data via API connection from a variety of public record datasets and proprietary databases to prefill the InsureZone home and dwelling fire applications. With just five data points like name and address, InsureZone is able to fully populate a homeowner’s application, providing users real-time rating from 39 of the top personal lines carriers in the U.S.

This integration radically alters the speed with which an agency can provide a potential customer with a quote from multiple carriers. When combined with the InsureZone Mobile Application, an agent can easily provide a potential client with a quick look at current rates in the homeowners insurance market in their home state right from their phone.

EZLynx

EZLynx develops industry-leading cloud-based software for the insurance industry, including: real-time rating, Agency Pulse, Policy Sync, eSignature integration, and a unified rating and management system.

How this partnership works:

InsureZone’s integration with the EZLynx Rating Platform allows agents to work seamlessly between two systems. The integration is a complete two-way communication, so that regardless of the system an agent starts their insurance application in, EZLynx or InsureZone, a copy of the application will be available in the other platform, along with any proposals returned from carriers.

The benefit of an EZ Lynx Agency using InsureZone:

Most agencies do not have all of the carrier appointments they need in order to easily quote every risk they see in their offices. If, for example, an agency has an appointment with Safeco, but not Travelers, InsureZone can help by providing a quote from Safeco under the agent’s own contract and a quote from Travelers under the InsureZone contract. The two quotes are returned at the same time using the InsureZone interface. If the agency wants to bind the Safeco policy, clicking the Safeco logo from the InsureZone Platform logs the agency directly into Safeco using the agents own credentials. If the agency wants to bind the policy with Travelers, then submitting a Bind Request will get the policy sales process started with the InsureZone underwriting team.

IVANS

IVANS is the insurance industry’s leading policy data exchange that connects insurers, MGAs, and agencies via their agency management systems. IVANS cloud-based software automates the data distribution (download) of insurance policy information from the carrier down to the agency management system of the producing agent. The benefit of the IVANS service is that agents no longer have to manually update their agency management systems in order to stay in synch with changes and updates to their clients’ policies. Policy data is downloaded automatically from the carriers in AL3 format and client records are updated in real-time. When a policy change is made, the carrier creates an AL3 record and sends that record to the agent’s IVANS mailbox. To download the AL3 record and update its agency management system, the agent would log into their management system, open their IVANS mailbox and hit download.

How this partnership works:

InsureZone has partnered with IVANS to become a “carrier” on the IVANS network, which enables them to both receive downloads from carriers, and forward that data on to any of its producing agents. AL3 downloads can be sent from InsureZone to any agency management system. If an agency partners with InsureZone, they can use this functionality to push data directly to the agency management systems of their producers and sub-producers.

PIA National

Since 1931, The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) has represented independent insurance agents in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. PIA was founded with nine objectives that are as relevant today as they were back in 1931:

  1. Educate agency owners and staff about insurance concepts;
  2. Keep agents informed about changing company offerings;
  3. Allow agents to assist one another in proper underwriting of their business;
  4. Increase cooperation between carriers and agents;
  5. Encourage uniform policy writing and assist in proper form completion;
  6. Advocate for agents in legislative matters;
  7. Foster acquaintanceship among agents so they could support one another;
  8. Protect the American Agency System.

How this partnership works:

As the wholesale service and technology provider to the PIA National, InsureZone has created and operates the PIA Market Access Program. To setup this program, InsureZone created a branded version of its wholesale platform that is available to any PIA member. This program and the underlying technology platform provides PIA members across the country with access to over 50 personal and commercial carriers, submission management, real-time rating, automated workflow for the assigned underwriting staff, an agency dashboard, online policy servicing, document management, AL3 download via IVANS, and access to all of the 18 tools available from InsureZone. The PIA Market Access program is offered as a membership benefit to PIA members at a discount to regular pricing. PIA National benefits from the program in that it allows them to offer a fully outsourced wholesale services solution to its members without the typical investment in agency staff and all of the other tools needed to run a wholesale operation.

RetireCo

RetireCo specializes in the development of innovative marketing and distribution strategies for the life insurance and financial services industries, including wholesale, retail, and marketing services. RetireCo provides access to over 200 top-rated insurance carriers for life + health insurance, and has hundreds of representatives nationwide providing college, estate, insurance and retirement planning solutions. They also develop both traditional and digital media content for use with advisors, consumers and institutions. The products availableinclude: Annuities, Disability, Health, Life, Long Term Care, Medicare, 401K and more.

How this partnership works:

Through a partnership with RetireCo, InsureZone is able to offer Life, Annuities, Disability, Identity Theft Protection, Living Trusts, Long Term Care and Medicare Insurance Products to any agency using the InsureZone platform regardless of licensing status. Life licensed agents receive 90-100% of Street Level Commissions plus carrier incentives, and agencies not life licensed can earn lead fees for referring business. RetireCo works directly with the consumer to provide the highest quality quoting, policy sales, and policy service.

RPS

Risk Placement Services (RPS) is a Managing General Agent/Underwriting Manager and nationally focused wholesale insurance broker. They’ve ranked in the top five in every insurance industry category and have been consistently ranked as the largest MGA in the country for several years. Headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, their organization has more than 80 branch offices and satellite locations and is comprised of four divisions: National Brokerage, MGA/Binding, Programs and Standard Lines. They also focus on the Environmental, Healthcare, Transportation and Executive Lines segments of the insurance marketplace. RPS works only with top-rated admitted and non-admitted carriers.

As the technology provider for the RPS Standard Express service, InsureZone is providing the retail agents of RPS their full suite of software products, including the FIDO CRM system, personal and commercial lines rating and policy servicing tools.

LexisNexis® Risk Solutions and its sister company LexisNexis® Legal & Professional are part of RELX Group, a global provider of information and analytics for professional and business customers across industries. The group serves customers in more than 180 countries and has offices in about 40 countries. It employs approximately 30,000 people of whom half are in North America.

How this partnership works:

Using the single-inquiry Auto Data Prefill solution from Lexis Nexis, InsureZone is able to prefill auto applications. Auto Data Prefill simplifies the process by delivering driver, vehicle and policy information that can be verified to help reduce errors and improve quoted premium accuracy.

VIN Audit

As an official access provider for the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS), VinAudit offers one of the most comprehensive US vehicle history reports available.

Using this VIN decoding software, InsureZone is able to populate vehicle information fields within the auto application to return accurate comparative quotes.
